Easter Pictures
We went down to my Dad's house for Easter dinner. My sister's family and Mike's parents were all there for a non-traditional steak dinner {Yum!}. Henry really seemed to enjoy riding around in Caleb's dump truck...he was a perfect fit. Henry got this wooden giraffe from Emily for Easter. These Anamalz are great{you can find them at Target}!

Sweet Potato...not so much
Henry wasn't very impressed. Since then we have given him gandules {it's a puerto rican bean...kina like peas, but much better} and he's eaten them up 2 nights in a row.

First Game of Catch
Mike and his father were helping Henry play catch this afternoon. All of the sudden, Henry started throwing the ball back to Mike. It was very exciting for us all {as you can tell}!

Grocery Getter II
Our newest addition to our family is a 2000 Volvo xc70. Henry needed more space. I love it! My first car was an '88 Volvo 240 stationwagon. My friends called it the grocery getter or the mom mobile. It's amazing how many teenagers you can fit in one of those things {I can't believe how unsafe I was...remind me NOT to get my teenagers a stationwagon!}. We are selling that beautiful Jeep you see in the top picture. This has been quite the sacrifice on my husbands part {he loves his Jeep}, and Henry and I are very grateful.
Week of Pictures
It's been a long week in the Swinson home. Henry and I got the flu {I think}. Henry came down with it on Monday night. It's pretty scary to see your baby throw-up for real. It lasted until mid-day on Wednesday for him. We went to the gym Thursday morning and everything was extra hard for me to get through. It was the first day I hadn't enjoyed working out since I started. By that afternoon, I had a fever. I forgot how miserable it is to have a fever! Last night was the longest night of my life. Luckily this isn't a very long lasting bug and I'm starting to feel better. This first picture is from Tuesday night when Henry felt his worse.
When we went to vote in the Virginia primaries, the cute little volunteer gave Henry this "future voter" sticker. I think it's so cute! Since I'm not a scrapbooker, I figured I'd better take a picture of it before it got thrown away.

I guess it's time...
Henry got his first taste of something other than breastmilk the other night. I tried some water in his new foogo. He would take a sip at a time. He was very confused about his leaky binkie :) We are going to be starting him on a first food soon {he's taking too much calcium from my bones}, I just need to go to the grocery store. I'm thinking either sweet potato or avocado. Any other ideas?

Sweet Little Toby
Henry's newest cousin was born yesterday! Tobiah "Toby" Adam Swinson {6lbs 13oz 21 inches} was born to Jon and Lauren Swinson. He is so precious. This little guy loves to be in his mother's arms! We are excited that he is finally here and can't wait to get to know him. Henry can't wait to get his hands on him :)

I love my family!
I am so grateful for my family today. My Heavenly Father knew just what I needed when he gave me these two guys. Mike is the best Dad to Henry. Henry is crazy about him. The other night Henry and I were laying in bed when Mike came home. Henry got so excited when he heard the front door open...he knew Daddy was home :) Mike and Henry's favorite part of the day is wrestling on the floor before Henry goes to bed. It is even more fun to watch them! Mike is such a hard worker and he's really good at what he does. His bosses always love him because they know they can trust him. That is very comforting to me. Mike makes me laugh! He's one of those people that says the funniest things with a straight face, which makes it that much more funny. Mike loves me! It's been almost 4 years of marriage and I'm still learning all the little ways and little things he does to show me he loves me.
Henry is the sweetest blessing to our family. Henry finds his own little ways to show his love. When he wakes up in the morning, he will crawl on top of me and lay his head on my chest. Henry is so fun. He loves to play. He loves to laugh. He loves to just be with us. I am grateful for his unconditional love.

What a crazy week of weather. Monday it was beautiful. We spent some time outside. Henry was introduced to grass and seems to like it. Tuesday was gloomy and rainy. By Friday, it was windy and freezing again! Today, it started hailing while we were driving around town. Spring will be here soon!

Lovin' These Shoes!
I am totally crazy for these shoes! See Kai Run has the cutest "post-walking" shoes I've seen. It took me 10 minutes to decide which pair to post. There is not a pair I don't love, I think I'll take a pair of each! I even think I'd be ok having a girl if I could put these shoes on her {just kidding, kinda}.
It's Official
Henry has been working towards a crawl for awhile now. On Sunday night he took off. It was great timing. Mike was actually able to see him crawl a lot that night. Mike has a very busy schedule this semester, so I was afraid he was going to miss some of Henry's "firsts".
Henry seems so excited with himself. I guess he is going to help me childproof the apartment now :) Henry was 7 months 1 day old when he started crawling, I was hoping for more like 12 months!
